Here is my latest layout using the Pemberley WOTG kit. I was thinking that I would get a head start this year by creating layouts for this up-and-coming Mother's Day instead of using pictures from years past. The color combination used in these papers just happen to be some of my favorites, perfect for casual photos or sophisticated ones.

Left hand layout

The one item that I couldn't help but add to this kit was the Z1718 Color-Ready Garden Wooden Shapes. Their natural color allows for them to be used plain or they can be decorated in many different ways. For the flower bouquet in this next picture, I layered the large and small flower shapes together to create a 3-D look to the images instead of leaving them flat. In addition to layering them, I also added the Bouquet Assortment pieces, Bitty Opaque Pearls Adhesive Gems and stamped images to give each flower a slightly different look from the other.

This great title was made by using the E1024 Keepsake Alphabet My Acrylix stamp set. Each letter in this stamp set is designed in such a way that you can stamp cursive titles like this one in a snap. I got the two-toned images that you see below by first inking each letter in Bamboo ink, then rolling the edges into the Indian Corn Blue ink prior to stamping it. The "&" shape that you see came from using my Cricut Art Philosophy Collection

Right hand layout

One fun and creative way to use the Bitty Pearls are to use them as the body of the smaller wooden butterflies. While they come with an adhesive backing, I have found that it is difficult to make them stick if ink is used on the wooden shapes prior to sticking them down. I would recommend sticking them down first then inking directly over top of them. Since they are not porous, the ink will not change the color of the gem. Another creative use was to make one of them the eye of the bird. I used a permanent black Sharpie pen to color over it to change the color from white to black. It's a simple solution that works!

Tip: Change the color of the wooden shapes by sponging
on the ink color of your choice. I used Indian Corn Blue
and Desert Sand inks on the bird shape seen here.
